Some place nice to get stuck in....

We might have had a green Christmas, but yesterday we started catching up in the late afternoon. we went from this....

to this by this morning.
It is heavy, wet snow that is easy to slide in. The good thing is that the blacktop will probably be clear because it is warm enough for the road crew to treat it. Today is very cold in the 20's, but it is the worst of the week. It is swinging back upward again in the next day or two. Everyone I know has the sniffles. The "ugh, I cahn't breef" sniffles. It seems to be taking a week before it is letting up, but then lingers on in a less annoying way.
I have taken advantage of an early start this morning with taking the risk of doing an entire load of laundry and hanging it up. I also have bread raising for the second time and will be ready to bake in about an hour or so.
The tree is down, decorations gone. I did leave out the glassware though because it is still coming up on New Years, you know!
I'd like to take some time and do the sweeping now with an open floor before Tom gets back. He didn't work today, but took Tommy into work for the second day this week. He may bring back that wood for our bedroom closet today. Yesterday there wasn't any room as he took back all the Christmas buckets to work.
We are pretty much stuck here as the cable guy is coming this afternoon. I hope he finds out why we are getting blue screen more and more often. It seems like it is always at night when we finally sit down to watch t.v. As if it really matters to me. I sit down and fall right asleep.
Last night I thought Tom and I would try a Winter Pear wine we bought. Bleck. Too sweet. He likes pears and even he didn't like it. It is a blend of white grape and pear. Maybe I can add some of my white grape juice to it to dilute and make it taste better. We have raspberry in the fridge to try that might be a little better.I'm not a big wine fan anyway.
Looks like it's time to fold the socks.

The snow is beautiful. We are warming up after a month of cold almost below freezing weather. We are suppose to get a lot of rain, which will make one big soupy mess.

Have a wonderful day. I hope that you all get over the sniffles.
