For Christmas time you would expect something other than pouring rain here in the north.

But Christmas Eve day it was different. This is a picture off of Shade's Beach off of Lake Erie after the funeral Christmas Eve day. Clear, 40's, and not what you would expect.

Christmas Eve afternoon and evening the boys went out to their dad's for the traditional seafood feast. Rebekah had to work until early evening so it was just Tom, Jess, and I. Jess and I decided to go to early candlelight service. I had put the ham in the roaster for the night and had made the other dishes earlier in the afternoon after getting home from the funeral so it would be easy Christmas day.

The boys came back that night and stayed, then all of us went to church Christmas morning . We all stayed for Sunday School too. We came home and while the dinner was warming in the oven we opened gifts. It is so different when the kids get older!

The traditional picture in front of the tree

Tom gets to put together his new sight in stand for his guns. No missed dinners now!

Ken also got a sight for his gun. A few targets too.

Becky opened a few small things, but will enjoy buying later with her gift certificates. You can see her beau Jake also was here for opening his gifts.

Tom and Jessalyn sitting among the many opened gifts, paper everywhere.

Today we clean up and prepare for the snow they say is to come in inches, but looking to the weeked when it will be 40 again.
