Today was the mountains

for our one day vacation.  It is above Lake  Chautauqua in New York state. My Mother-in-law rents side by side cabins every year and family can come and visit or stay overnight if they want.  Nice to visit everyone in such a beautiful place! We usually cook out and picnic and then the there is  a small creek and the kids love to look for the crayfish behind the cabin.  They are huge!   Of course, it is fun to pull out the metal detector and see what goodies were left behind from previous campers!

They have different areas of interest in the park, one being a place they call  the Stone Tower.  What a view of the Allegheny mountains you get from up there!  That's it for today, 12 hours is long enough and I am off to bed.
