Getting up and moving around Sunday morning was easy for the farm hands. It was warm enough that you can move freely without the bulk of heavy winter clothing. We managed to get to church early this week!
We took an afternoon and spent it with Jake and Becky, Jessalyn and Collin. The six of us went out and got a bite to eat then went to see a movie in Big Town. I don't really like sitting in theaters, but this is one the guys wanted to see on big screen. The true story of Chris Kyle, a navy SEAL. Jake had bought tickets two hours before the show, and good thing. As we had nowhere to park close, by the time we bolted through the parking lot and into the theater lobby, people were piled in there. He said he heard they had sold out and that the next showing was already half filled. We bypassed all that and got in right away, albeit that we had to sit in the front row. Ginormous size and loud! The rumble of the tanks shook the whole floor.
At the risk of saying such a movie was "good", it certainly made an impact on me. After the closing, music didn't accompany the closing credits. You heard a small applaud, then a very uncomfortable quiet as everyone exited the theater.
People don't realize or they forget....war is hell.
