Some place nice to get stuck in....

This week I actually had to do running by myself!  It had been a long time since I went out on my own.
I did however have to to some running for a friend.  I spent the one coldest morning (-13 when we set out) taking her into Big Town for some testing she had to have done.
It was o.k. though, all was well, and I had some time to work on my knitting while waiting.   The roommates conversations on the other side of the curtain were entertaining, to say the least, too.
After she finished up her testing, I made a run downtown to see John.  Helping him out, hoping that it will only bring good news for all.   Another hoop successfully gone through, but sure another is coming into site.
Then we stopped off for a bite to eat, as my friend hadn't eaten since the day before due to the tests she was to have done.  I just had an english muffin and coffee while she indulged herself  with french toast.  Then headed home to see what awaits with the animals being in for so long.
Happy to see the fire was still burning nicely since it was to cold outside!
Friday was Tom's scheduled day off.  He took me out to do our shopping like usual.  The regular rounds of stores, but today we also went to get our eyes checked.   He and I also got new specs.  This took most of the day, but now we can see again!
To add to the beauty of my new glasses with bling *,  I had my hairdresser, "Tohmas" put some curl in my hair. I wrapped most of it, but he definitely had to help roll the top.
My hair is too long!  I was extremely frustrated, but he stepped right in and got the job done.   A lot of boing there for sure, but after two years it will be good to be able to do something with it.
Jessalyn was out shopping on her day off but home in time to delightfully make us dinner.   The four of us (Collin) enjoyed a dinner of marinated strip steak that she had brought home from work.
I whipped up a pan of chocolate chip bars for snacking on while we watched the "I Frankenstein" movie from Netflix.
About 15 minutes into the movie I could tell I was starting to go.  Dozing off and on throughout, they got a real kick out of it when I sat up and yelled out loud!  I was asleep, but the TV was so loud that when an intense scene came on, it jarred me awake thinking the dog was challenging someone.  Natural reaction was to bold out of sleep and yell.  Yeah, they thought that was really funny.
