This past week Jessalyn has been practicing her driving skills.   All week long we tended to a neighbor's  barn and animals.  Doing our chores early, then heading up there by about 7:30 to do their chores, then going back up about 4 to do their evening chores before coming home for the night and doing ours.  During the week Tom came home early and cut down the trees that were leaning badly.  It was  a little scary with them being so tall and so close to the barn.  He actually cut down the leaning trees, but left the outer pines that weren't really uprooted yet.  Cutting down the others made easement letting them stand more upright.  A few did crash down but only bringing down the fencing around the meat bird house.  It could have been worse.   He also worked on fixing the blue car.   Put the part on so he could take it this weekend.
He, Ken, and brother-in-law Dan went down to their cousin's camp for a night to bear hunt.  Tom got in about midnight but assume he arrived empty handed.
Earlier in the day Tommy packed a bag and strapped on his guitar and headed out to his Dad's house.  Maybe temporary, maybe not.  He is going out there under the presumption of taking care of his Grandfather.  His father decided it was better to bring him home??
It wasn't long after he left that the snow started coming in.   They are calling for quite a cold snap with snow and high winds.   Looks like it is time to haul water to the barn for the next few days.  To cold to go help friends slaughter their pig.  Tom wanted to go and observe one more time before we attempted ours supposedly next weekend.  They are getting almost too big for us.  And the cats...too many FOR us.
