Looking out the door in the morning, in the dark I can see the electric line that runs to the two barns is down and no electric out there. Tom took a look before leaving for work and said it was down, but the reason for no electric was a branch that pulled the cord down to the chicken coop. He plugged it in and they had electric. He will be home later tonight to fix the down line. Meanwhile the wind is still blowing but not as consistently. When I went out for chores I see that part of the old barn wall is gone, and two pines that were waiting to be cut gave way a little more which in turn lifted more pines that probably wouldn't have gone if the first trees were cut down in the first place. Oh, well. That darn tree over the bedrooms is still all in tact though!
Some place nice to get stuck in....

High winds prevailed all through the night. Waiting for the electric to finally go off. Right on schedule, just before we were headed to bed. The wind whipping through the house, in the dark we wondered how bad it would be by morning. Tom got on the landline and put our order in right away to the electric company. Amazingly, sometime in the early hours it came back on.
