Jessalyn turns Sweet 16! We kept asking her what she wanted. All she could give us was "A permit!" The day before we went shopping in town and also picked up a pizza and took it in to work to eat with Tom. But the real day falling on a Sunday, everyone was working at different times. So, I manged to get what kind of cake she wanted and baked and decorated it. We picked up miniature peanut butter cups yesterday, and they are now in her french vanilla cake with cream cheese frosting.
She was surprised! The kids all ate, had cake and ice cream, then loaded on the hay wagon for devotions and a hayride.
It was like Jess' private party!
She did have a chance to open gifts throughout the day before each of the kids had to head off to work.
The T-shirt that says "I'm with Awesome" is from her friend Rebecca who was standing with her and her cake, A hoodie from Ken, a cartoon suspect kit as well as a huge bottle of Ranch dressing from Tom, Rebekah gave her make-up and case, we gave her a shiny red pocket knife and a wallet with at gift certificate for western boots she had been eyeing.

What a nice birthday! I had to smile at the "permit" request from her. ;)
