Some place nice to get stuck in....

We thought the month of June was going to bring a good haying season.  We saw many people putting up hay left and right.   While it was dry in front of the barn Tom and Jessalyn put the elevator in place.
It was going to be so easy to fill the barn.   We were called in to help hay.   Two and a half wagons and the baler broke.  All that hay went up into the owners barn first.   We are still waiting for hay.  I don't know what we will do.  The loft is empty.  Tom did buy two round bales, but one is gone already.  We rolled the other into the barn and are picking layers off as we go.  There just hasn't been enough rain to have pasture.
With all the hot weather,  I prepared myself every morning with ice tea ready to go straight from the fridge.  Ice cold! And the meals need to be cool and fresh!
The heat helped the transplanted blueberries.  We have a custard cup full.  That doesn't seem like much, but it is more than we have had in the last two years where they use to be planted.

This week it is much cooler.  I am busy out weeding and finally mowing after almost two weeks.  Jack is happy it is cooler too.
