Some place nice to get stuck in....

Jessalyn's been staying all week long at camp for Horse Week.  She said they have 12 or so horses that they take the campers out on for trail rides.   She and the head wrangler have one other helper at a time to work and curry the horses.

I guess she had a chance to ride one of the Belgians that the neighbor brought up from home.

He does maintenance there but also helps out with keeping the horses in hay.
Ken is working many hours now that he is back to work, but needed time out to do an oil change on his truck to keep it going.

We are still wrestling with getting enough rain.   The plants themselves are growing amazing enough.   I heard quite a storm to the east of us the other evening.  It gave us amazing color and clouds but we didn't see any of it.
I guess that is a good thing because Tom was offered some round bales that we had to bring home and put in the barn.  We stacked them along the inside for now.
It would be nice to be able to get some upstairs though.
I was doing the chickens when I noticed that there were blackberries growing wild back there.   I picked a few and then went to check on the wild bushes by the second driveway.  I had covered them earlier in the week with the netting from one of the round bales.   A few are coming, I just hope the weather helps bring them out.  Just a handful so far....
