Enjoying the rain that we have been getting.  Just enough to make the garden keep growing without doing damage to the plants.  It seems that the timing is just right as I finish weeding a garden and then it rains.  It took me two hours the other day to weed the vegetable garden and then it rained,  then the other day I weeded the strawberries and the same.  I really didn't want to weed that day but glad I did.  We are getting some berries back in there for a second gathering.  Not like before, but enough to make a strawberry pie and put some up in the freezer.
I have fallen into a routine with Jessalyn working every day.  Tom takes her in every morning on his way to work and I begin the day.  I usually try to have all the inside work done before 7 a.m.  Like straightening up and dishes washed, dried, and put away.  Then I head out to do the barn chores.   I let Bob run while I am milking, then when I head up to the house I take turns with everyone else.  Jack runs while I burn and clean up the dog yard,  Miley exercises while I pick the straw, blue, and raspberries for the day.  Then when I head in to wash them, all the dogs have been exercised and ready to be fed for the morning.   This leaves me with a few hours before lunch to weed, laundry, whatever other home maintenance I need to do.  Back out to check for eggs and fill water at noon time.  Usually by afternoon I have to go get Jess at work because she babysits three days a week and I have to pick her up and drive her in to drop her off in Little Town.  Then it's dinner prep, back out to check on the barn, feed the domestics and Tom is home.
Tommy is in and out riding to and from work and doing his schooling on the computer.
Becky finished her CNA training but has yet to set up a date for her state test.
Ken is seen usually only after dark coming in to take a shower and going to bed.  He has been working 12+ hour shifts from sun to sun.  That is a lot of hours given summer days are longer.
We went to visit last weekend.

Tom took some time to help Dad out.  Seems he was having break problems with his truck, so last weekend Tom took a look at it.

Was a little more than anticipated.  Tools were at work so he just drove it out there and worked on it for a few hours.  It only took him an afternoon, really.

This weekend we are concentrating on emptying my Grandma's house.  Dad really wants to get it out there on the market before they leave to go south soon.

Tom and I helped take a load of memories out to their place, then Dad said he would give us a few memories to take out to our place. Tom loves his new chair. I have the shadowbox up but have to put the Hummels in that Dad brought back from Germany.  We put Dad's childhood bedroom set in Becky's room.  It fits nicely, given it looks busy with all the stuff on her walls.

Jessalyn's room looks a little more polished with my childhood canopy bed (which she left off to have just a four poster bed) and a beautiful cedar chest from Grandma's house.  It is amazing what fits in Marge's van!
So we made it home and the two of us worked on changing out the bedrooms and adding to our living room.  Today we have a few more things, and hope that by the end of next week or so all loose ends will be tied up and it will fly better for Dad with all these issues that need tending too.

Glad that you are getting some rain. We generally don't get much rain in the summer as we are high desert. We irrigate our gardens and lawns.

The bedrooms look so nice with the furniture. Have a wonderful day with your family.
