Some place nice to get stuck in....

Friday Jessalyn was on call for work and thankfully they didn’t need her. She was to go in at night and practice with TNT AWANA kids for their competition. I worked well because she was done minutes before Tom and we could pick them all up together.
Saturday morning she had to be ready at 8:00 a.m. to leave for the games. She was gone the better part of the day with a family dropping her off at the church after lunchtime. That was the time Tom was going in. It is always a great thing when their schedules are so close.
Husband Tom went into work anyway on Saturday so that he could work his van for inspection. I did a small list of things but it seemed like it was coming and going all day long for some reason. In the evening Becky and Jake stopped by and they walked out in the woods with Jessalyn to kick up some turkey. There have been a lot coming around lately. You can hear them very loudly in the early morning when you are out doing chores, or early evening when you are out doing the same. The other night I could hear them while I was milking. When they came in we had big bowls of ice cream slathered with all kinds of toppings!
Yes, I’m milking once again! I have already made one batch of mozzarella, and have collected enough to be making another batch this afternoon or tomorrow.
Sunday the three older kids went off to celebrate their Grandfather’s birthday, then two went off to work, and one to play. Jess went to a friends house after church, and then they said they would take her to youth group. I wasn’t going to let her go because of her little jaunt she took this past week, but then I was thinking, “ Hey, Tom and I will have some time alone!” So I sent her on her merry way.
It was a pretty gray day and drizzly, so it was nice just to grab a hot cup and really do nothing!
Monday was the day we did LOVE from Fruits of the Spirit study. I made an apple pie to take because the ladies have it at their houses all the time and I am limited to days because Jess is in school. The house is to small to have them over in the morning and Jess right there on the computer studying.
Again, working on things on my list, I planted some flower seeds in hope that I can put them in my flower boxes this year.
Today I had Tommy help put up a line of lightweight chain fencing so that I can start the beans. I then began pulling the clumps of grass out that had grown in where we put the fill for the garden. I got about ½ done. If I can get out there later today or this week, I could probably get the 2x4’s in so I can plant the beans. It took me 1 ½ hours to weed out just that area. I’m so glad I got my mp3! I listen to my radio programs all morning and time just flies by!
There is only one more day of school for Jess and two more days until Tom has off. I came up from the barn this morning though and Ken was on his way out. They had called him back to work, locally. Tommy will still have to be transported for a while though. Waiting to see how plans pan out for his car this weekend.
