Some place nice to get stuck in....

Who would have thought we would be mowing in March? Ken mowed the other day and I mowed again this week. Just the front, mainly to keep the yard looking neat. Other spots weren't quite as dry either. We have been doing a lot of yard work with the nice weather. I went out and lined the front gardens with fishing line again this year hoping it will still keep the deer away from the buds. They should have enough to eat being that everything is so green!

My indoor plants are growing right along and I have had to transplant many of them. I sat outside the other day in the sunshine and cut tops and bottoms off old soda bottles to make sleeves for the tomato plants yet to come. So far I have cut 56 sleeves. I need to make at least as many more. I really think that it will work in a raised bed sort of way.

All the work means some play. Since I cleaned up the tack I might as well use it! Last Wednesday was so nice that even though Jess went to AWANA, Ken and I went out around the block. I still wore my heavy coat and lined jeans though! I'm getting a little more confident riding Penny. Just not as broke in! I felt it in my shins yet.
The wasp are coming back and starting to get behind the shutters already so one cold morning I had the boys go out and take them off the house. There were lots of old nests behind them! I'm not sure if we will leave them down for now or repaint them and put them back up. Right now we have the scroll on the top of the window that my Dad cut out, and the window boxes he made underneath. I want to get some Styrofoam cups and plant some flowers to put in them this year and maybe get away from the artificial ones since there aren't any shutters.

Everything looks so green. We are finally greening up as well. I have to mow this weekend. It doesn't all need to be mowed, but there are spots that are long.

Happy Birthday to Becky. I hope that she had a great day.

Have a wonderful day.
