Welcome back! We have waited a long time for the return to stateside. It is time to put the flag all the way back up. The troops are back from Iraq. I will fly it high again...for now. Let's keep our troops home and away from countries that hate us.
The snow came down and down and down. I have shoveled the driveway three times in the last two days. Last night Tom brought home the snow blower. I don't think we are having any more snow storms for a while, but at least we will have it here. Maybe I will make a path to the barn. I didn't shovel that.
The last time I was out shoveling the drive the sun was shining. I thought that the last storm had already passed as they predicted. Ha! I just was finishing brushing off the car and doing the parking area when I looked up to the north. It wasn't just dark clouds I saw, but I think that if it were any warmer, I would say it looked like tornado sky. The colors were very discontenting. Then it came inland and hit again. Jessalyn said she couldn't see me 50' feet away outside the living room window. Blowing like crazy!
Well this morning it is calm, but incredibly cold! One more day of a big fire and they say it will begin to warm back up. I don't see all the snow melting, but the warmer temperatures will be welcome.
Here's a few pictures of our snow storm. Bob was out with me when I was shoveling.

The weight of the heavy snow pulled the pine branches to the ground.

I didn't brush off our front pine this year like I always do. I just hope that we don't lose branches from it.

Picnic, anyone?

All that snow is so beautiful! We seldom get snow with the exception of last year.

Have a great New Year!
