Ladies were coming for Bible study so I thought I better go out and shovel a path to the front door. I did the blocks, but being slippery, I also made a parallel path off to the side in the grass so that they would have traction. I was expecting six ladies, two who have problems in mobility so I wanted it as easy as possible to get through the yard. I made vanilla apple cake served with a bowl of my canned peaches, pears, and frozen strawberries. It ended up being only five of us, but it was o.k. The sun came out and it lit up the whole inside of the house and it was almost warm enough inside with that we almost didn't need a fire. They visited to noon before they left. Now, look at the two pictures. The left is on Monday when I expected company. By Tuesday, all 10"of snow was gone, and it reached 50 degrees. It is unbelievable!
