not quiet at all

You think with the heat things would be slowed down. Nope! Yesterday morning Jessalyn gave me the dreaded call from the intercom in the barn. "You better come out here!" Ugh! Of course, my thoughts are the goats, or old Rosie. Well, it was Rose all right. Here she had ripped part of her eyelid off somehow. No blood, so it must have happened the day before yet neither of the girls or Tom had noticed it when tending to them. I haven't been out to the barn regularly but I guess I better make a point of it again.

So I called the vet and she came out and gave her a stitch or two. I have an ointment to put on it and hope it will heal completely. She does have a little bit of the outter corner of her lid protruding, but I am hoping it is the swelling and it will go down. I go out three to four times a day to hold cold on it and reapply the meds.

It is to hot that all the clothes we wear to work in are wet. I decide to come in for a bite and cool off. Too many animals! I can't even snack in peace. This is Baggy watching me eat. He just stared at me like that for five minutes. Weirdo!

I ran the containers and trays into mom and dad's this morning while Jess is off riding and Becky is at work. Mom needs them for transporting the food to Grandma's memorial service on Saturday. I also am getting the forms out for Becky's diploma. Finally! One more child to go! (sorta)
