Four months until...

Christmas Eve!

By the skies yesterday around 1:00 p.m.  you might guess that fall was setting in. It may have been a cool 70,  but it felt good to me after all the heat .

Vegetables are coming in slow, but they are coming.  These are the complete crop of carrots from our garden.  I bet we would have had more if Bob hadn't decided to crawl up in the raised bed when I first dropped the seeds!   Good job, Bob!  We had them for dinner last night with oven baked beef, potatoes, and zucchini from the garden.  Yum!

Today with it cool again, I have a small list to do outside before it rains again.  I'd like to get out there and weed between the peppers and the strawberries.   That is the only place I didn't get to last time.  To get ends tied up before school starts would be great.   Jess starts the new adventure in Cyber Schooling this year and so the date is definite and begins on Monday.   No slacking in time this year!  I have to get the lesson planner written out for Becky yet too so she knows what she is to be doing every day.

Tommy has been in and out  by himself and with friends.  He has the goal of being in his own place by the end of next week.   Better get a move on, the college kids are starting back!

I don't hear from Ken very often, so it was a nice surprise to see him on Sunday.   He came to church for the second service.   We had already been to first service as Tom and I had prayer team that morning.  It was after Sunday School time that we happened to catch him. He has been attending a church about 10 miles up the road with a friend of his, but decided to drive on out this way for service. Thought maybe he would have the time to stop out since he was out this far, but I guess not.  Maybe another time soon.
