Cooler temperatures, very blustry winds! The leaves are spiralling down to the ground. To warm the house today I made bread, cookies, rolls, and then baked a sheet of chicken thighs. All this and overseeing school too!
Becky and Jess came out at lunch time after I had been cleaning the leaves out of the pool and helped put the cover on. It is the winter cover, but we just pulled it over to keep the leaves out until we treat the pool for the winter.
I tried getting some of the laundry done too. Tom took a look at the washer last night and although he didn't get the agitator fixed, he did get it to drain and be able to refill. At least the agitator goes around. It doesn't give the twisting effect, more like a playground toy gone bad. It just twirls maddly around and around. The clothes seem to be getting clean enough. He also put a nut on the button that regulated the water level. It broke off weeks ago. Plastic thing twisted off just like taffy. He looked and found we had bought that washer from SEARS a year ago in February.
Anybody else see the Doonesbury cartoon in Sunday''s funnies? Not laughing....

Just stopping by to say Hi...does your machine still have warranty? Sears I think is pretty good for that. We also got our pool ready for winter this weekend...we just covered it to keep leaves out before we treat it for winter.
