No snow!

Wow,  I thought that yesterday moring we were really going to get hit with some snow.  Big, fat flakes came down about 7:00 a.m. Just when the horses thought it was a neat time to bust through the fence and tear up the side yard for the thrill of it all!   Some flakes did stay, but melted soon afterward.  Up near the lake about 25 miles north,  they had quite a few inches.  Enought to warrent snow plows and many accidents until people got use to driving in the snow again.   It is so nice to know that I don't need to go to Erie every day this winter!

Today the sun came out a little, and the temperature reads about 40.   This time we led the horses out to the grassy area for an hour or so as we worked in the yard.   Bob (still on a lead)  made his way around the better part of the yard perimeter.    He barked at the horses for a short time and I was glad he was on the leash as not to challenge them and get kicked!

We had been blessed with someone giving us some second hand clothing (jeans!)  and after going through more than what we could ever use,   I put the bags in the car to take to our local .20 store.  What a place!  Everything there is .20, with the exception of a few garage sale items in that they usually mark no more than $5.00.

Well,  dinner today consists of something really tasty.   I chunked chicken breast, zucchini, and shell noodles in the casserole dish and am baking it for dinner.   It smells so good and it  was no fuss!   It stayed so warm in here today with making lemon cookies,  eight loaves of bread, and now the chicken dinner!
