was the snow. North of us has had their share, but we have kept the green grass. It will rain here again which makes getting the barn enclosed very hard. yesterday Rebekah, Jessalyn, and I hauled sled and wheelbarrows full of wood chips to put on the floor of the new barn before Tom goes to lay down the wood. The entry to the old barn has gotten so bad that we fear the horses will end up stuck like quick sand. We laid wood across over there too, but I really want them out!
During one of the warmer days this last week, I went out and the lights up again around the eaves of the house. They worked as I was putting them up, but wouldn't you know that when I went to turn them on at night, the very last few feet over the end of the house didn't light! I bet one fell out!
Bob is being such a great guy! We took him in to get his chip last Saturday. While we were there, Tom wanted to see a dog named "Drifter" that he spotted when we went looking for Bob. He wasn't eligible for adoption at that time, but has gotten fixed since. He seemed to really like him, but Tom has his own reservations on getting more than one dog right now. He knows how lucky we were to get Bob!
Without a constant fire, some decorations still remain by the heating stove. One is my big pumpkin that I have sitting out yet. Look who likes to get up off the floor from the draft!
Some are preparing their meals for Thursday. I don't have to make much this year, just a dish as nother year of going away for Thanksgiving. Tom's sister and brother-in-law are hosting the feast agian this year. A time to get us together for good eats and fattening treats!
Today though, I have applesauce to finish. I did a bushel up yesterday and put in the slow cooker all night. Today I will hot bath them all. It will make it smell so good and warm it up too!

When I saw the radar I thought for sure ya'll were getting lots of snow. I guess the radar is deceiving. I am not sure when our tree will go up, but probably soon.
