Lots of business going on, lots of pictures to share.
Mom and Dad came out last week to visit and see just how the barn is coming along, and check out the new colors in the house. The last visit for them until next spring!
First, you can see how we are coming along with the roof of the barn. What a windy day to be doing that, but Tom wanted to get it up before it rains. Now the south roof over the horse stalls is done.
Yes, that is his truck, but it is only there to unload the wood! Patience! He will get his garage another time!
Before starting that today, Tom showed Jess how to use the small band saw to cut out her AWANA car for the big race next Saturday. She worked all day on cutting, sanding, and painting.
And this weather! I thought I had cleaned out the garden for the year and didn't bother tilling it up yet. i went out today to look around, and look what monstrosity I found! Carrying it up to the house it looked like I grew a third forearm!

What type of zucchini is that? It is variegated or is it just the picture?
Is the barn all done?
I'm not sure what kind it is. I had bought a few .10 packets at the local dollar store figuring that my garden wouldn't be good this year. I had these striped as well as a solid, darker green that produced. The skin on these is much softer than the darker green to eat.
