Bark! Bark!

Who's there?  No one.   I keep looking out the window waiting for the next stray to come, but I don't see one.    There have been opportunities to pick up puppies,  but I really don't want to worry about training.  I don't think I need to rush out far and wide just to get a dog.  I know that another stray will need a home and will show up here sooner or later.   It is just so quiet here.

So tempted to start a fire in the stove, but a few extra clothes helps.   I have a feeling we are in for a very cold few months, but not much snow.

The satellite company has free channels this weekend, and I happened to see Al Gore's movie, An Inconvenient Truth.   Although he may have not been formally educated on this subject,  his interest in it seems to be as much qualification as we have when we take interest in  what  is happening to the world we were given.  The destination of our planet is certain (see my thoughts  on this  in To Be His Own )  but it is still our responsibility to try and do what we can to take care of it for the future generations that are sure to come.

O.k.   enough of that!  To take the chill off this morning,  I may get myself going and make some banana muffins.  Or, I may just curl up with another cup of Java and a good book before the world is up and spinning!
