Even though it was 5:30 this morning coming in the window, even though it was early running out grabbing a tarp to cover the newly overstacked hay, even though it was running around in my nightgown putting pails under the gutters to catch rain for the coming dry days to water the garden, it wasn't inconvinient for an instant as we were getting wet from the morning showers! The radar shows about an hour or showers and then nothing. Enough to get the green back to the outdoors. It is the kind of rain you just want to stand out in because it feels so good.
Yesterday moring we went to the Chicken Yard Sale that is a yearly event. More than chickens, people bring therr goats, rabbits (too many), other poultry and game. There are also a few with tack, which we lucked out in. We picked up a riding halter, fly mask, and leather breaststrap all for $7.00. Looked at those chickens but they were to much for what I wanted.
Well, the ongoing saga of horse pasture has stalled for the time being. We worked yesterday afternoon in putting wire up where the final pasture is suppose to go. Tom brushogged a new pathway to even up the sides of the pasture and it included enough green scrub that the sanaan boys could get out. Now maybe we can go through and run a double, if not triple line and include the goat houses so they can come and go as they wish.
Rebekah took off to dance her last of the season last night too. We stopped in to see her great grandma on the way as she can't attend. Thought she would like to see the costume. It was a nice visit after such a long time.
I suppose after tomarrow's evalutation for school we can officially start summer and I can begin the outline for next year!
