That is how I usually feel. But this morning I feel like saying, "I can't believe it is seven already."
Yesterday was the big day for the dance! Rebekah was wonderful in her tap number leading into intermission. She was very good in the tap, too. We brought her good friend along this year and I hope she enjoyed it too. It was a bit longer than other years so the tradition of going to get special ice cream was a little different. We usually go to a specialty shop that has various ice cream. This year being done so late, the shops were closed and we found ourselves eating sunday's....as McD's! I don't think they cared, it was the fun of the whole night.
It made it special too, to see my oldest son come to the dance review. We all had gone together from many years back and thought this was the first year that he would miss as he works a second shift job now. He suprised us all by showing up before curtain, and with a rose for his sister as well! When she was done dancing, she was so surprised and happy big brother was there!
It had been such a long night, and after dropping Rebekah's friend off and coming home, it was upwards of 1:00 a.m. Getting roses put up, winding down and getting a head count of animals we finally made it to bed. At 1:45 a.m. headlights shone in the bedroom window. Here was our new neighbors coming to tell us the horses were in her yard! Now, we just did a head count, but I guess being in the field and not the barn made Dusty want to wander on such a nice night.
After retrieving them, here are Tom and I out wandering the fence with a wind up flashlight looking where they got out. Making sure they were in and the fence light was shining that wonderful organge glow, we made it to bed about 2:30.
Do I really want the added chore of making bread today? Well, I guess if we want some to eat......
Hope to finish this one cup of morning coffee first.
