Some place nice to get stuck in....

When you have family everywhere, you have many days to celebrate events and holidays.   Ken and Sabrina brought the kids out Christmas eve day as they were going to be away until the new year.   They came early enough that we had a light lunch.  I had Lily put on an apron and help me in the kitchen making french bread pizza.  She loved to snatch the pepperoni!
Afterwards, we had them open their gifts.  Ken and Sabrina already got theirs earlier in the month when we surprised them with a chest freezer.  We also gave them a lot of meat from the pig.  I loved what they gave us.   Family portraits!
We tried getting the kids toys that weren't toys, but something fun. We got them a snakes and ladders game, and Lily a disney  Trouble game. Had to throw in some girly nail polish and goodies too.
We got Noah a space rocket that ran on fuel from baking soda and vinegar.  It was a little harder to put together than  I thought and was more for Ken to do, but when made they went out and set it off.  It worked for a little while, but I think the main component became to wet after a while.  I hope once it dries it works again!  We also got him a small do-it-yourself Tic-Tac-Toe  board that Ken can help him build.
Ken had Noah bring out his BB gun he got from them.
He was careful to instruct him on how to use it and the safety he has to remember.   He was a pretty good shot!
Us girls went out to check it out but even without snow, it was a little to cold to stand out there.
Lily had the right idea and watched from the window.
When everyone was in, the adults visited while I was on the floor playing the games with the kids.  It has been a long time since I was down on the floor doing that.  It was a lot of fun for me, I hope they had fun too.  We were all laughing about racing around the Trouble game board!
