Christmas, Christmas time is here.  Time for laughs and time for cheer!   Well, maybe not!    Hee Hee 

No, I think John was happy to be here, really.
 After we came back from picking him up, we went out to see the barn, and then I had him traipsing all over the woods back there.  We found the tree stands, and I finally saw the improvements that Tom made to his.

John climbed up there, but I still wouldn't, thank you very much.   Then we heard Tom calling.  NO we were NOT lost!   I had the strings on the trees in my view the whole time.  But it sure was cold and I was glad to get back in to the fire!
On to gifts before dinner.

We had picked John up a portable size chess set.  

He and Jess got into a game that really didn't have a chance to be finished as we were going to sit down to dinner.   Becky got to make it out but Jake didn't make it out until....dessert, of course!

  Sabrina wasn't feeling well yesterday, and today she and Ken decided not to come. I hope we can meet up again soon!
I had made up one of our hams the day before, most of the meal as I usually do so I won't have so many dishes to clean up. I had forgot to get potatoes, so when I picked John up I had to get some at the convenience store.  Eek, 200% mark up for such a little box!   Must remember to review the grocery list days before the next time!
As it grew later and darker, Tom took John home as I was left to do the clean up.  What a fun day it was!
