Some place nice to get stuck in....

We had to wait for Grandma and Grandpa to get home before we could have Jess' graduation party. We had it at the church after service the first Sunday in June after they got home.
Lots of people, many friends,we guessed about 80 or so, and thankfully just enough food. She didn't want to have a little ceremony like we had for Becky. We held Becky's graduation up the road in the secondary site that held church at the time. There was an area that we "staged" and had Becky come up in cap and gown to get her diploma. Jess did not want to do that but did start out the open house with a small acceptance of thanks and said the blessing.
The cake will be most memorable. very blue. Everyone will remember it for days afterwards. Eeek!
So now Jessalyn has finished her high school years and entered the workforce full speed ahead working every day, all day. When the Friday nights permit she also works at the track. She does have the weekends off now. She was told that she was to work Saturdays but that changed when she finished school and works all week. She barely had worked a full week after graduation when she had her Dad look at a car for her. She had been scouring the ads for weeks on end before she even started working. Looking at all the ones available within a small price range, mileages, years. So when she came across this one and it passed "Dad-spection" she bought it. Glad she is interested in the inside as well as the outside!
She can't have it in her name just yet because she only has her permit, but as soon as she passes the test she will transfer it over! And because she still is on permit that means that she can drive it back and forth to work, but I have to be there of course. So basically I am taxi yet for a while longer while she gets used to driving and handling her car.
