Some place nice to get stuck in....

After a long day, Tom made it home with the two new pigs.  He still had to make a door for them and he had to run the line around the inside yet before we could call it a night.  It seems that they adapted well.  Despite more rain, Tom could back the truck up to the barn and from there we carried the little guys right to the opening of the pen.
I had to get in the dog cage and turn them around before they ventured out into the grass,
but once out, it didn't take long for them to root around and stretch out in the little bit of mud they made.
Yet today, another hot day to run around, but Jess had banking to do and I needed to empty the car of all the contributions we gathered at Mom and Dad's last week.   My  car was over stuffed.   We met Tom at my parents around noon and worked a little more on the other side of the garage.   With only the truck bed this time, we still made quite a dent.  I think Dad was satisfied, but not thrilled that the things were being moved out.  A quick stop to drop things off and back home for the night.  Well, almost.   Tom is to see if the local Amish have some slab wood on hand so I can work at laying it in the floor of the barn.  With a week of rain in the forecast, I am not looking forward to wading through the mud inside the barn. You can see what I mean from yesterday's post picture.
