Some place nice to get stuck in....

Gray.  That's the color forecast.  The sky may be gray, but the glow of yellow leaves out my front window brighten it up a bit.  They are still holding on despite the winds we have had the last few days.

The pool water is getting colder, but I am still using it for laundry until we get it covered.  It is still doing a good job filtering.
Becky stopped the other night to visit.  Also to confirm  a guest list she is compiling.  She is getting overwhelmed already!  She stayed for dinner which consisted of...what else...chicken!   While I was cleaning the kitchen she disappeared outside.  I thought she was visiting with the cats.  Here she was chopping wood!  Crazy girl.   We had enough for the next day thanks to her burning the calories.   Today is wet and colder.  All the wood we have is stacked nicely, but it is wet and to long to put in the stove.
I started using some kindling and thought I would try the coal.  Although I haven't learned how to use it efficiently  yet it will be o.k. until Tom gets home.
The parts for my car came in the other day so he stayed to work on it last night. I took him to work so that he could put them in but  I ended up picking him up as it was the right part but something about it just wasn't fitting right.  He's going to work on it again today after work.   The blue car is fixed and I think he will be bringing it home tonight.  Taking the truck is expensive no matter how much gas drops.
The cat's don't like the rain and cold either.  They are wanting to dine in.  Great.  Look what home delivery brought in the mud room.
