Then I went out to start my list. I began by hanging out the laundry. Then worked at weeding the front garden under the front window, then moved on to the one at the length of the front of the house.
As far as a list goes, over the next few days I removed all the wild roses from under the bedroom windows out front and replanted them out by the road to hopefully fill in and make a dust barrier this year from the road. I also removed our "island" garden that I had made over a decade ago and it was just that. An island that was hard to mow around. So I dug up all the daylillies from there and pulled up the one Althea and replanted that out front curving around the driveway. I also dug up other Althea on the west side of the house and moved those so they alternated between daylillies around that same curve of the drive. They are all about 5' or taller but easy move. I also dug out and weeded around that area. I took some of the clumps of daylillies over to the west and planted them in a strip along the woods. Hopefully the deer won't eat them! Ken pulled up a dead tree stump that had been in the way of the walkway. I pulled the yellow daylillies there and took them up front. The boys helped be dig around the flagpole and I transplanted the orange lillies around the pole, with the yellow ones around the outside.
Jess finishes school and comes out to enjoy the weather too. She picked up the yard from debris and then she and Ken cut up the fallen tree up by the road. She did some raking around the back too.
They made sure that they had some time for fun too.
Ken got out his toys and was playing out front. Jessalyn wanted to try too, but what you see is what you get. She did the stance quite well!
