Friday Tom had to drive to Cleveland to pick up a welding table his boss had bought for the shop. He ask if I wanted to ride shotgun for some time together. It was to be a nice little drive, just the two of us. Tom went off to work in the morning at the usual time and said he would come get me about 10:00 when he came and got our trailer to hook onto the boss' truck. It was freezing that morning and it started to snow. He pulled into the second drive to hook up the trailer only to find that the ball on the truck was set wrong. Of course, he couldn't get the rusty thing to budge, and then had to come all the way over to the house and get tools to get it right. It took two 18" pipe wrenches to get it off and turn it around so it sat just right to haul the trailer. It took about an hour because of the hassle. I was going to forfeit the ride because I had to be back by 3:00 to take Tommy to work, then Jess into work by 6:00. We would never be back in time. Disappointed, he took off.
He met Ken coming the other direction so he flagged him down and made arrangements for him to do the driving. Tom turned around and came back and got me. It was almost noon by then. I grabbed my coat and ran out to the truck. Upon stepping up to get in, the running board pipe busted off. Yet another set back. He came back in to get tools and he and Ken removed it and through it in the bed of the truck. Finally, we were off!

Getting out of Pennsylvania it began to clear up nicely and pretty much stayed that way the whole trip.

A little cooler by the lake though. We got the table and stopped at Arby's for a bite to eat and headed back. Along the lake I saw the biggest windmill! It was so big that there was an office attached that people actually could go in and do what maintenance they had to do.

I didn't get back in time to take Tommy, but I did make it back to take Jess at 6:00. Headed East at dinner time sure was different than it was lunch in Cleveland! I could hardly see at times. Thankfully it stopped after an hour or so and coming home later that evening wasn't so bad.

Glad you made it on your trip. It seems unreal to see snow. It has been in the 80's in our area.
Blessings,
