The ladies arrived home Sunday afternoon. It is very evident that Sister is due about the first of March. We are still on the fence about Belle. She was visiting for a the full month of November. We will have to play the waiting game again this year. See the snow? That is all we had. North of us they got 6". Now, today it is all gone and we are getting torential rains, what has turned from snow from midwest where they had 10' drifts and 50 m.p.h. winds. Ugh!
Sunday was the Christmas play for the kids. The ladies had all the youngest ones dress up as someone or something to do with the Christmas Story. Each child walked down the aisle and recited one memory verse that had to do with what they were dressed like. After a few hymns, the older children came and had a short program that revolved around a letter to Jesus and His birth. It was much nicer this year than a play.
Tom had to go into work to hook up a compressor on Sunday afternoon, so we took seperate vehicles to church. I came home and heard that his brother had left a return call message. Then shortly after taking my coat off, Tom's aunt called looking for him. I explained he was at work but would get a hold of him to call her.
He found out that his grandfather had fallen and they had a hard time getting him up. The result was him ending up in the hostpital. Upon running more tests they found other things that didn't sound good.
Tom met the family at the hospital Monday night and stayed late visiting. We heard on Tuesday they had moved him to the Comfort Care floor, and then at 11:30 p.m. Gina called to say that he had passed away.
We are all waiting to find out what needs to be done next. This is the fourth family member to pass away at Christmas time. Both my Grandmothers, Tom's Mom, and now his Grandfather. A lot of special Christmas' for them, but sad ones for us left here.
