It is cold and rainy today and they are predicting snow in the air. But that is o.k. We have our new stove that is keeping us warm with little wood needed. We will need the fire today because I am not doing much cooking with the oven. Yesterday I worked on the grapes that had been in the refrigerator.
I found a very easy recipe to follow (loosely) for grape jelly. I found it in an antique cookbook I picked up one summer at a yard sale. It is really a neat cookbook. It must be from turn of the century because it tells how to cook in a hotbox. Anyway, this jelly recipe I put on my Busy Page is really easy and turned out well. I got to use a sieve I had stored for the first time. Only one small jar didn't seal, but that is o.k. We would have opened one this morning for breakfast anyway. It tastes great!
The housework today includes wiping down everything this morning. This is my big chore of the day. We will see where I go from there. I still have nagging of that spare room calling, all that material to use, the old garden to clear and turn under.....
