Spring has sprung~and so has the heat

It has been to hot for me!  I have been out working in the yard and garden.   I decided to pull up all the skids Tom brought home.  I layed them down and filled them with dirt to put the strawberries in.   After leaving it and looking at it for a while, I decided I would keep the berries where they were but without the wooden forms.  It is still raised in mounds, but no barriers.  I also lengthened the rows and today I will put the plants in before the rains.

I attempted mowing days at a time, but the mowers wouldn't work.  Tom fixed the tire on the rider so yesterday before the rain I raced around cutting as much as I could.  The wet areas need the push mower but I was to hot for that.

We also pulled up all the wild rose bushes in front of the house.  It looks to bare for me.   Tom dug out front by the road and we transplanted them there.  They will look good if they take.   The area I rototilled about 12 feet out from the front of the house I transplanted some Rose of Sharon that were growing way to big right at our bedroom wall.   I also took big clumps of orange daylillies  from one bed and transplanted them in between.  I hope it fills out quickly, the house looks like a trailer now.   :o(

The girls and I ran into town yesterday morning.   Becky now has her own car!   The man she bought it from works in the same building as Tom, and in fact, sold him a car a few years back.  He and Becky did all the paperwork and then we foll0wed him back to his place to pick up the car.   He had it looking  great.   Cleaned it all up for her.
