Last week was busy. I had to take a friend to the hospital because she fell over her FAT dog in the dark on her way to the barn. She has had so much surgeries they should call her the $6,000,000 woman. Luckily, all she did was break her funny bone in her elbow. After resting it for a few days, she is on the mend. Love the chart they had on the wall. I should put it on my fridge.
I stopped by my parents house to pick up some stuff from the freezer and drop off some mail. Her flowers are blooming so nicely despite all the rain we have had. We are still struggling for apple blossoms at home.
Tom took time out to cut some of the pines that fell last storm. It is cleaning up nicely out back. He also helped me enlarge the garden to 30 x 50. He decided to use skids that are made to look grid-like to plant the strawberries. They will be confined but not boxed in so hopefully we won't lose them this winter. In fact, we are using scrap wood to make raised beds for everything. The mounds of dirt just disappear and so do the seeds and plants. ~no pictures though, Tommy!~
Last night the Amish neighbor came down to take a look at the pines Tom cut up. They must be good for something! While they were looking at it, his buggy and two horses bolted out of the first driveway and ran an entire mile up the road at full speed. The neighbors on the corner heard them coming. They went to take the corner at top speed and fell into the ditch. Both of them! We figured out what scared them. While they were looking at the trees, one must have touched the electric fence and off they went, buggy and all.
Tom went up to check on them later at night. They were both o.k. but shaken.
Being muddy outside, I run Stan up and down the hall with his toy. One-eyed Sam sits on the Hoosier and waits for him to run back and forth. Each time he reaches out and bats and snags his tail. Stan doesn't even notice that every time Sam has a paw full of hair that is whirling through the air. It is hilarious!

I have seen that chart at our doctor's office. The flowers are beautiful. Our apple trees are blossoming right now. They are pretty.
I hope that the horses are fine. Have a great day.
