Three days ago, I was up at 3 a.m. Nothing unusual for me at this time in my life. I got up, did laundry, made two loaves of bread, and did general housework for the morning. Becky was off to work by 7:30, and Jess was on the computer doing schoolwork. I sat down at noon for a hot cup of tea, and napped only a few minutes for energy. I awoke to Becky coming home at 12:15, the same time the phone ringing. It was a neighbor friend who was calling for a ride to the E. R. She had had a fall the day before, and with other symptoms, she wasn't feeling very well. Becky was home just in time! I picked her up and drove her into town. She had several tests done, then the doctor prescribed some meds and sent her home. I knew there was a reason why I needed a quick nap earlier! We were in the E.R. about 4 hours or so before we could head home. The meds would have to wait because the pharmacy closed before we could get there.
I offered to pick them up for her the next morning.
Day 2
Well, the next morning came and I wanted to get an early start. With Becky not making it to dance the night before, I also didn't get to do the two big baskets of laundry that was in the wash room. You would think I would use my new washer, but with 8+pairs of heavy jeans piled up over just a day or two, and bedding that included a comforter, I decided the well might not be able to take it all.
So off I went at 8:30 a.m. Yes! Early! I picked up the prescriptions, headed right to the laundry mat. Took a basket in and put it in the machine, realized that DUH I needed to get all the soaps, bleach, and softener before I started! So, back in the basket, off to the store, back to the laundry mat. In go all the loads. Three 40# washers, and 4 35# washers. Off to the changer. WHAT? I don't have enough for all the loads? It is 8:45 in the morning! What laundry mat runs out first thing in the morning? There were just two of us there and they just opened! So, I started what I had money for, then back in the car, down the street to the pharmacy because they were open by 9. Dropped off the prescriptions. I was going to get change there because the window was still not open at the bank for some reason. Well, they were all on the phone busy, busy, busy. So I told them I would be back later to pick up the meds. I walked next door and got change at the grocery store. Then back to the 'mat. DING! LOW GAS! Great. I'll get it when I am done. Back at the 'mat, I thought my math was right, but NO! I was .25 short! Luckily, the only person there, a young man, traded me coins for one quarter. Getting done and into the gas station I ran in and pre-paid. Glad I did. They were just coming to my pump and putting little yellow bags on the spouts so they could test the pumps. Can I go home now????
Day 3
Working on the laundry as it slowly air dries hanging here in the house. It has warmed up enough to not have a fire, but not enough that the clothes are drying quickly. Especially the jeans. Becky headed off for a long shift at work tonight and Jessalyn went off riding, so I decided to step out and get some fresh air. I see the daffodils are popping up as well as the day lillies despite the snow we have had . I even see the tulips out back struggling to come up.
Later tonight we are having family time by getting hay into the barn. Hooray!

Sounds like you are busy. I can't wait to start working in my flowers. Our weather is finally warming up.
Blessings,
Tiffany
What busy days you have had. Your flower bed looks so nice. We are anxious to get outside as well.
Clothes do take longer to dry in the house when you don't need a fire all day long. I was able to dry jeans outside yesterday, but I had to keep watching as the wind was blowing hard.
Have a great day.
