50!

It is hard to surprise Tom.  I think we did a good job Sunday.  I made three french vanilla cakes on Friday, then when he went out Saturday afternoon to hunt, I pulled them out of hiding and decorated them.

On Sunday morning while he was taking water out to the horses, the girls helped me load them into the back of  the car.  He didn't know anything.  Then again at church, they helped get them into the fellowship hall.   After service and before classes, we celebrated with cake.   I had a "Look Who's 50" mug for him to drink out of too!  Because the weather was pretty blustery, we had a whole cake left to bring home.

I made him ribs from the pigs we raised.  Not to bad.  Little meat, but a good mid day snack.  He seemed to like them!

Ken surprised us be being here when we got home from church.  He had come in and stoked the fire so it was nice and warm, and then he came out and was snowblowing the driveway so we could get in.

Lots and lots of snow!
