was Tom's first day "off". No sleeping in for him! We sent the girls off riding in the morning while we went into mountain town to the court house. We should have packed a lunch. Paying taxes, fines, he applied for his hunting license, and then he took me up to the third floor to apply for a handgun permit. Not that I want to be a pistol packin' mama, but he thought it a good idea to at least have one before they take that right away. I don't even own one.
My son wondered if I was going to carry a pistol in my purse to the grocery store. No, son, we shoot our meat at home!
It isn't my intention to pack because of paranoia, it is more for the legality as stated in the constitution. I can only see handling a handgun better if a wild thing comes on the property to eat chickens or fight one of our dogs/cats.
Afterwards, the sales were in our area so we stopped by a few. Guess we are pretty blessed. Didn't find much of anything that we needed. Tom picked up a few saw blades, but that's about it. He is talking of going to the flea market this weekend and trying to sell some more things.
Today the plan is yet to hay again, but maybe come home with some this time. Tom fixed the rider so that is done! Laundry, done! Meals, done! I made a few days worth the other day and put them in the freezer to pull out and heat. Ready to go!
