Some place nice to get stuck in....

So I had a few extra minutes

and I thought I would post a few pictures.

This is Tom's second day of his long weekend.   This is how he started.  Then he started raking hay at 9:00 a.m. up the way.  Bales next, then we came up and put a few hundred on the elevator to the neigbor's barn.   Two big wagon loads.   Tom is up there now stacking what is left in the field to bring home.  It will fill in the upstairs of our barn nicely.  However,  8 hours is to long a day unless farming is your bread winner.  Somehow I will have to find a way to make him unwind.  We are conserving the water for him so he can enjoy a nice, cool shower first thing home.  Maybe a fresh sub for dinner?  Not what I have on hand, or what was planned, but I bet he would really enjoy it.  I know he wants to head in to pack the truck for the flea market tomarrow,  but he also wants to chill out and watch Avatar tonight.

Again, they are saying no rain for yet a few more days.   Taking the water over to the garden, I spotted this little guy growing.  There were some pickles and cukes starting too.

not sure  what this one is.

What do you do with celery that has gone wild?  I have never seen anything like it!  The blue is netting I used to tie it up.  It was so heavy it was turning into a bush.

speaks for itself....
