Easter Holiday

Tradition takes us to my sister in laws for Easter dinner. She has provided the great meals with our small contributions now for the last few years of holiday.

The weather was fantastic.  We even got to see her hubby emerge to the great outdoors!

"Jimmy, what are doin' in front of our house?"  Becky went out to ask when he kept stopping in front of our house.   He was working his drafts and they need to stop and go as he is training them.  At least he will be dragging our road smooth with that big tire while he is at it.

Wednesday night was the OHC   meeting.  They recognized all the young winners from the youth program.  One girl had over 900+ hours of riding time last year.   Jess came in with 759+.

The weather turned a little chilly and Becky decided to curl up on the couch.   You are never alone at our house.

Thursday night we took a jaunt across the county and found ourselves bringing home two new additions.   I thought I would take a few pictures.   OOPS!  Guess I got a little to close!

'This is Artimus.  He is a haflinger/morgan cross.   Sorry about the shade of the picture.  It was inside in the evening when we got home.

This is Penny.   She is a halflinger/QH-morgan.

Here she is with Dusy. She stands taller than all the rest of the horses, but she is still is under 15 h.

I had to Rosie in too, as Becky  brushed her out today and she looks very clean for a few minutes!

Still no baby goat.  We were out there working for the last few days getting the stalls ready and it didn't spur Roni on at all.   Even the new horses and the comotion they caused coming in didn't bother her one bit.

Now making new time alottment,  off to help do the barn and see just how everyone is and how long it will take us to do chores.   Anyone for some manure??????
