and now

it is time to lay down the new flooring. Tom and  I struggled with what to do.  We looked into laminate flooring and heard it was the worst thing we could do with kids and dogs.   I've read where water will make it lift quickly.  We don't need that out here where we are wet all the time.   Real wood was out of the question, and besides, I didn't want the crevices to clean for the same reasons.  So, we settled with a wood linolium.  No cracks, no grooves, easy to sweep and mop.  We moved out all the furniture and I swept and I bleach water washed the floor.   Becky went ahead and touched up some areas in the livingroom that needed done.    Tom got home from work and wanted to fill in some nail holes in the floor and then we started laying it down.  press out some bubbles and put the furniture back in.  Oh, it is so nice!  I removed the bookshelf in the first hall the other day so that is washed down and ready for the floor to be layed there.  Should have done the whole living areas like this!

The weather was just to nice not to get out the new horses.   Becky and Jess saddled them up then took them out in the pasture to be lunged.

Each took turns getting on, then off they went together.  Turns out Becky likes Penny more than Arti!

The girls came in for lunchtime, and then only a few hours later Becky went out to brush some of the horses and found this in the barn!

Finally!   Veronica had a buck and doe.   The doe is the white boer looking one, the chocolate cake batter color is the buck.   She called me over the intercom and when I got out there, she was drying them off and getting them to latch on for a drink!
