Scratchy started getting his yucky nose back. Anitbiotics are not m maintaince drug. So, I have started giving him 1/2 mL of childrens benedryl every morning. He really doesn't like it, but after given time he does better breathing. It is the last option I have.
Waiting for the big storm to hit, we batten down and prepare for a long few days. Now I see where it may miss us completely. That is o.k. with me. I hate driving Miss Becky back and forth to work with the snow coming down so hard.
When I did take her to dance Tuesday night, I did window shopping at Lowes. Lots of good ideas! I came home with a $2 can of "oops" paint. I ended up painting under our wood stove because it really looked bad. I then took some of my craft paint and did some free lancing. Then I sealed it with clear acrylic so that it will withstand some beating for now.
Here is a picture after I finished just an hour. Eek! Looks like I need to paint the stove again too. It has had its workout this winter!
I also have been reviewing and studying American History with Jessalyn. Using at least 3 different resources has been really helpful. She and I both are getting more out of it. Yesterday we went through all the amendments, to day we worked our way through to the War of 1812. Did a little history of our Lake Erie, too!

I agree we loaded up the porch with wood for the long weekend too. I thought we would have enough wood since the wood shed was filled to the top, but nooooo we just got a load of wood from Jeff. Nice hard wood and will get one more load. This has been too long and cold, I sit at night wrapped in a blanket and am still cold. Seeps into me at chore time and never leaves. I love your art work under the stove. But don't paint the stove yet I think we will be burning well into May.
