Last Friday I picked Tom up when I took Becky in for work. He was coming out to stay the weekend because his buddy was heading back to school. We went out for dinner at Hoss' in Erie. Really good Philly cheese subs. We were stuffed. Over dinner we talked about his plans of going down to Pittsburgh for his AF testing and physical. I am not to thrilled to say the least, but I know he wants to have direction before winter sets in. As a mom, I wish he would find another path.Unfortunately, picking last weekend turned out to be not so good for spending time together. Jess had yet another horse show in which I was obligated to help. Unbeknown to me, it was huge with 58 riders. I was there from 9:30 a.m. to 10 at night. I thought my volunteer work was signing them in and then I would be free. Nope. Then again the next day for the member show from again 9:30 to 4. I didn't get to spend any time at all with him. I did get a chance to take him up to get the bus Wednesday. He went through all the rig-a-ma-roll of physical and testing, then the shake down. He said he listened and told them he wanted to think on his choices. Not to their liking of course. But there are so many choices that I can only keep praying that he will pick the right one, the one that will benefit him later, and as mom, the one that will keep him safest.
Yesterday I went in for a follow up to a mammo that I had done. They say it is calcium and want to do a bio soon. Nothing to worry about. More an inconvience than anything. Oh bother.
Ken is working himself to death. Probably playing himself to death too! He picked up a second job part time to help pay for play. Don't know how he is going to do it, but he should get himself into classes somewhere or take advantage of his EMT training. Get out of that shop and start getting his feet planted (and I don't mean family wise there Ken!)
