SALE!

But did I take enough money?   Ha!   I guess not.  There was a big tack sale south of us today.  I didn't know about it until the last minute.  Poor Jess didn't get to go.  She had been sick for the last two days.  I thought she was feeling better this morning until I saw her out on the couch.  I did get to go with a neighbor friend.  In fact, quite a few neighbors got together at the local Mom and Pop restaurant for breakfast, then we headed out to the sale.

I didn't expect too much, and rightly so as many things were for showing, fancy, and expensive.   BUT, after a few rounds around the room I did find some turn out halters for a buck, a pair of heeled boots for Jess to ride in, and a lime green blanket for five bucks. Jess just has to transfer the bit.

 I thought I made out pretty good since there wasn't much lime green to be had.   Then as we were on our way out, there it was!   The entire riding set.  Blanket, bridle, noseband, breast collar,  and tie down.  Now mind you, new it runs $150+.  Thanks to the rescue of a friend and her letting me borrow a bit, I slammed the sale for $40!   And...on the way out,  there sat 4 metal saddle racks---for free!  Snatched them up and away we went!
