Today begins another new page. One without Clemmy. What an ordeal for his last day. I called the vet early, planning to take him in. We of course couldn't bring him home to put him in the pet cemetary because of the havoc weather we have had. Plus he was so big and to dig by hand would be to hard. So, arranging taking him in and being with him was set. I had Ken start the truck. As we were manuvering the truck around to get him in the bed, there it was. A huge, dinner plate size circle of oil with a nice black trail forward and back in the snow in the driveway.
Tom came home to take care of that which lasted most of the day. In the middle of the afternoon, I called the vet back and ask if we could at least bring Clem in and drop him off. So, the uses of the big blue tarp was called into action and we lined the new car's back seat. He fit perfectly in parallel to the back seat window to window. Ken road in the back so he wouldn't be jumping around. I just couldn't see waiting another day if the truck couldn't be fixed. The verdict is still out this morning on that one. Let's see what is under the truck when Tom pulls out this morning. I sure hope he fixed whatever it was that was leaking. And I am glad that it wasn't during a snow storm or freezing rain storm.
Ah, let's see what today brings....
