blowing out candles, blowing over trees

So, the ladies are back and in the barn. Thank goodness that Tom had luck of the weather to do the lean-to! The wind was so loud and ferocious last night I wondered what would be standing. Well, not the pines. More and more go each storm. The sun was shining when Ken went out this morning and counted 12 pines down all together in this group this time. You can see the massive mess in this one by seeing Ken up near the roots that were lifted.  God is clearing out and taking roots with it so we can have a nice place to park the cars. I felt guilty thinking of taking down live trees, but He is taking care of that for us. 

After getting things in order and doing chores we were out early this morning to pick up Ken's friend.  We all went bowling for an outing in honor of Ken's birthday.  Some had to be sure it was recorded for proof of game!   We all enjoyed playing three games, but I must say that I did start to feel it in the last few frames!  Afterwards we stopped for a quick bite at the local McD's before taking his friend home.

Later on in the evening after Rebekah came home from dance we celebrated with cake and ice cream.   Long day for such an old man of 17!
