ANYONE KNOW HOW TO KEEP THEM AWAY?
\
I have had it with the deer here at night. I worked so hard at seperating my daylillies and lining them along the driveway last year. I spent two days weeding and preparing them to look nice as a border. What happens? The deer have come and eaten off the buds. Twenty-seven at last count.. Now they are eating the leaves. They have acres of scrub and other things to eat. Why these? They haven't touched other ones throughout the yard. I have this big hole now in the middle of my border!

I have been having trouble with wild cottontail rabbits getting into one of my gardens. My neighbor told me that human hair has a scent that will keep them out and it works for deer as well.
Last week I had my hair trimmed and brought the hair home in a bag. (It looked like a Dolly Parton wig!) I sprinkled it in the garden, but I can't find evidence of it, so I think the birds may have taken it for their nests.
Later on today, I think I will brush our dog and put clumps of hair in clothes pins and sprinkle them in the garden.
I hope this tip helps.
