Sunny Sunday

What a better start to the day.  The sun is shining and I am going out to pull some weeds out front before the sun rises any higher.  I still feel a little wiped out, but if I slow my pace everyone might enjoy the day more.

I got to use my new milk jugs this morning and am hoping the milk stays colder!  I just lost another 1/2 gallon, but I think it is because the kids aren't drinking it up fast enough.  I guess I will have to make more cheese for the freezer.   I heard you can freeze the raw milk, but I don't know if you can use it for cheeses after thawing.

I have once again read through my Countryside magazine at breakfast this morning.  I love that magazine!   We also looked through  The Encyclopedia of Country Living and the Readers Digest  version to try and figure out how to cook pan fish correctly.   My youngest daughter and one son want to go get some fish down the way today.  The heard that the local Amish man was getting blue gill and bass .  My daugher is so excited!  She loves to fish, and she casts well for an almost 10 year old too!

It was funny the Christmas that she received her first rod.  She was out casting in the snow.

I appreciated your sweet comment on today's blog. Wish I could help with fish recipes, but we're mainly trout fishermen. If it helps at all, I like to clean and de-head them, stuff them with minced garlic and a little butter and parsley and grill them wrapped in foil..................Denise
