Some place nice to get stuck in....

We have been very lucky, but now winter had caught up with us.  We have had some snow come and go, but this is going to stay a while, I think.  Instead of thaw, we are going to the other extreme. I made sure Tom had us set up in case shopping was a problem.  He can always pick up essentials after work but I really hate to have extra tasks for him at the end of a long day.
Well, here it is.   This is the second day of snow.  I am glad that Tom has a snowblower we can use. Even in the dark! Out behind the tuck with is little light on.
He and Jess both out trying to get to work.
I even learned how to use the electric start when it was to cold.

The trees are so weighted down.  It seems if they don't blow down, they break off in the storms.

You can  see the heavy snow on the smaller trees too.

It was bad enough last night that Jess called Tom to pick her up from work.  She just left her car there.  It was that bad!   He said the roads weren't plowed yet again all the way to work and Jess made it there o.k. but she really didn't want to fight the way back home.  I'm glad.  That one main road out is so hilly, there is nowhere to go if another car comes, or a plow for that matter!
In fact, Tommy went out yesterday morning and for some reason decided to take the sharp fork coming home.  It is a really bad spot.  Without a window, the snowplow blasted him and he was sure that if the wheel would have turned just slightly, the outcome would have been tragically  different.
So today is keeping the coals hot and visiting the horses every three hours for water and be sure they have hay.
