Fall is definitely coming.  My favorite tree has turned color.  Funny, this year it is more on the orange side.  In all the years here I don't remember that.  It was always a bright yellow.

It is just cool enough to bring the turkeys out too. 

With it being cooler and not wanting to use the stove to much, I decided it would be a good day to cook up the lard.   This is the last of it in the freezer. 

I don't know what I will do when I run out.  Maybe Jess can pick me up some to render from work.
Something else to do on a cold day?  Clean some more of the closet and find some old pictures!
